I picked up my unit on eBay for £40 (I think) and then sold my ARIAB and Cutting Edge pedals. In my view, it's a tone shaping filter, but does the job better than the other two I've mentioned. I use the 3rd setting all the time as we play the early 60's stuff and it sounds fine in my set up. I was going to buy a psu, but the battery lasts for ages, so there's no rush.

Hello Alan,
You're a man after my own heart - I use Stage 2 all the time myself - it gives much greater tonal flexibility downstream.
I'm also glad that you're still enjoying it. Battery life is about 40 hours, as you've already discovered.
Thanks for your post.
Regards,
David.

HI ALL , I am the proud owner of a gemini111 & find it a great help in reducing unwanted deep bass ,but still keeping that nice clean tone at the top..[great for the shads-sound].. The other point's I find very good is 1,,very quiet indeed, 2,,A bullet-proof -steel case ,would stand a lot of gigging work without breakage very important]3,,,Battery life is just great saving extra leads &psu etc ,when not convenient to use a power cord etc.. 3,, A decent-quality foot-switch with reliability &positive feel ,4,, a personal-thing 3x ''BLUE'' patch indicator LED's easy to see in a lighted envirement.. And lastly the fact that it is made in the UK ,reliability is important.. CHEERS TO ALL From happy owner ,,,,,,,''Aussie-Barry''..

I am the proud owner of a Gemini III as well. It does exactly what it claims, and much more...
I especially like it with my Rickenbacker 330/12. It really brings it to life in the bass strings, and just nails the Beatles and Byrds tones! I rewired my Ric so that the 5th knob blender pot is in the treble circuit, and I put a .0047 uF cap across it, so that I can blend in the cap variably. The 60's Ric's had this cap as standard in the circuit, but it really makes it more versatile to be able to blend it in and out. With the cap about 50% blended in, and the Gemini III, the tone is pure vintage Ric!!
The Gemini III can also help shape the tone of other pedals in the chain. With the Gemini placed before my silicon Fuzz Face, it allows me to get more of a Vox Tonebender-like sound out of the Fuzz Face....fun stuff!!
Dave is a top notch guy to deal with, and we corresponded extensively after the pedal was delivered!

I have just bought received and tried out the Gemini lll and needless to say just as David had vouched for it is fun experimenting with the various possibilities available with this masterpiece..I m finally having fun and enjoying playing My Eric Clapton signature Series (1989) with gold lace sensors and a Godin Session (2010) along with a Zoom G9.2tt and a Yorkville Traynor YCV 40 Custom Tube amp. I have a few other guitars in my collection too but yet to use them with this unit. I d recommend it to anyone looking for "That Sound" and yes it takes you right where you wanna be..In the world of Hank Marvin and The Shadows..All thats missing there is Hanks soul and guitar playing fingers..Thank you David..Every bit od advice you ve given me is a 100% valid and useful..Hers cheers to the world of Gemini lll users. I m in Goa , India.

Can you please help - I am a really good Hank emulator, yep I mean really good, scared of no competition... yep, I know, but if you've got it you've got it, you chaps know what I mean. Being an avid Shadows fan since they started out, I have for years desired to achieve the exactness of the vintage sound that Hank had, it's more than 'just plug a Fender into a Vox' you know what I'm talking about, like in such songs as 'Mumblin'Mosie and 'The Frightened City' 'Little B' etc plus many others I'm sure you know. I've tried to find a contact number or e-mail to purchase a Gemini 111 but all I can find is websites and forums with no business contact numbers? Where can I purchase one? I'm going nuts here hearing about how good this gear is and can't get anywhere near buying one! I live near Birmingham in the west Midlands England. Dodge.
