Although I think the main intention of the Gemini was to assist in providing a “vintage” type sound, I now tend to concentrate on the later, Final Tour type sound and the one Hank has on the, “Just Hank Marvin”, video where he uses the Alesis Q2. The point I want to make is that I find using the Gemini takes the “muddiness” out of a lot of bass settings and provides a clearer sound, so the unit does not have to be used solely to replicate early sounds. Charlie Hall himself states something very similar on his site so I don’t think there is any harm in re-stating this benefit. Turning up the treble just doesn’t have the same effect.
